I buy a BOM kit from our LQS on the 1st Sat of each month. They cost $3 when you turn in your finished block they give you a ticket and then they draw a ticket for all the blocks. One week there were 56 blocks. Well this month they shorted me on the green fabric..so I changed the borders. It now has 2 of each color. The borders were suppose to all be green...OH well...it's done and I will call to tell them tomorrow & tell them they shorted me...it's a 35 mile drive over there so can't just drive over to get the replacement kit..I just need to vent about this...thanks for listening...

you did a great job. perhaps your block will be centered on the quilt made with it and will be the focus :D

Your block is great and I love the focus fabric. Your change to the block sashings works perfectly.

That pink & green fabric was a bugger to work with....I don't know if it was because of the silver threads running thru it or what. It was slippery and hard to keep straight when I was sewing it. The squares were only 3" so I only put one pin in the center of it when I did the HSTs. It was thin fabric too. I think the LQS uses the "uglees" that don't sell to make the BOM kits out of. That way they get rid of them. The kit is only $3 and you get a chance to win all the blocks. I think there were 56 turned in last month.
