This is just one of the projects I'm working on right now. It's a BOM from my LQS. I bought the book and paid $5 for the entry fee. Now as I complete each block, I take my completed block to the LQS and receive the next month's block fabric for free. I'm having such fun with this and really can't wait to have all the blocks done. They haven't chosen all the fabric for the remainder of the blocks and the borders, otherwise I would be working on those now too. I think I'm really going to love this quilt when it's done!

Edited to add: These blocks are from the book Abundance published by Perkins Dry Goods http://www.perkinsdrygoods.com/store.php?cat=4 in case anyone wants the information. Fabrics featured in the book are by Moda Fabrics, Marcus Fabrics and Jo Morton fabrics from Andover.

Just love those $5.00 BOM's! Sure wish more stores would do those instead of $20 to $35/ month! Beautiful pattern!

This is really nice. I checked the web link and have bookmarked it. Is your LQS in Northern Illinois? Thanks for sharing. If nothing else, I'm going to try to duplicate one of the baskets-I really love it. Thanks again. The fabrics are beautiful and your sewing impeccable.

The quilt shop is called Prairie Stitches and it's in Oswego, IL about an hour west of Chicago. Great little shop. Lots of great fabrics. They're very heavily into the civil war fabrics and quilts. Carry quite a few of the 30's reproduction fabrics also.

Beautiful!!!! Please continue to share your pics with us!!!

However, I have to say that you really need to change your name. I don't think you are a "quilter in the making;" you ARE a quilter!!!!!   :-D :-D
