Thank you for all your comments. I like samplers but I wasn't yet confident enough to do this one completely by mysself and there was a group meetingat the Ben Franklins at the time and when i saw this butterfly/pansy fabric I knew it had my name all over it. I collect butterfly and pansy fabrics (I also have a thing for angels).A fun project.

Really like the way you used the hole in the barn door setting--nice framing for the blocks.

Thank you again for all the nice comments. It was funny when I made this quilt. The teacher was going to be leaving for about 3 months I was a fairly new quilter and was concerned about getting stuck in the middle of it.(she had actually taught it the previous year and most had not completed theirs) So I busted you know what and I had all the blocks but 2 done before she left then it got put away for awhile and I just had to put it all together when I took it back out.
I learned alot on this quilt and it was fun. Nice things about samplers you'll not get board because every block is different.

Absolutely stunning! I'm jealous of all the BOM's. Signed up for one when I was a newbie and made it about 2 blocks. I want to do another, but now it seems they are so VERY expensive. Doesn't seem like anyone does the 5.00 BOM anymore....or at least how I knew it to be. Now that I work so much, I barely have time to sew outside of weekends.
