Default BOM top finished!! 3 years in the making

Started this block of the month Quilt three years ago because it had a lot of appliqué and I had never used yellow with a quilt before. So I set out to expand my horizons. Finally finished it and am pretty pleased with the results. It's from the pattern book flowerpots by Cindy Lammon. The colors seem a little washed out, they are somewhat brighter. I learned so much with this quilt. Now have started on a BOM at LQS. So far it is in it's second month and I am done with the blocks and just waiting for July's! Perhaps it will be done much sooner that this one.

Thanks for all the kind comments. I really learned a lot about applique and fused applique in the making of this quilt. I also now have discovered that I kind of like the pale yellow and light blue combo. It looks crisp and fresh...springy!
I just scored 5+ yards of 56 in cotton fabric very similar to that in this quilts border. I want to find a pattern that would use it and some combo of blue for a double bed sized quilt for my blue bedroom.

Being the flying geese addict that I am.... I love the strip with two different sizes! Something new to try. Congratulations on a beautiful - if long awaited - finish!
