This is beautiful. Bonnie Hunter's designs are addictive but don't you love to hate her sometimes?!!! I commit to a design and somewhere in the middle, I begin to think, "Is she crazy? Who makes this many tiny pieces in EVERY quilt?" But once finished, it's so worth the effort. You did a fabulous job and in such an impressive time frame! Well done.
    Enjoy your day,

Looks very difficult. I am impressed with the small amount of time it took you to complete.

WOW, that quilt is gorgeous - you really have patience, no way would I have the patience to tackle something like that. And if I did start one, I'd probably drive myself crazy within a month!

Your Perkiomen Dreams turned out so beautifully. I have mine put in five 1 gallon plastic bags and they sit in a drawer in numerical order. I put some together and need to work on this when I finish my latest Bonnie mystery.

So, could someone explain "strata"? I sort of understand what is meant, but would like to hear someone else give an explaination.

I've admired this pattern in that book. It's amazing, and really depends on the placement of the red and yellow blocks to pull the design through. I'd never have the patience. You did an AMAZING job!

My trick to stay motivated, was to put on my favorite Netflix series, and sew for a couple of hours at a time. I pinned the strata sections into packs of 10, so it was simple to keep track of where I was because I needed 400 of each strata. In no time at all, I had 5 baskets with the needed 400 strata of each. Then the assembly began.
I LOVE THIS!!!!! I am making the Smith Mountain Morning from that book......not sure I would attempt this one tho......Just beautiful!

WOW!! Beautiful quilt! I love Bonnie's patterns. It is so rewarding to use up those scraps and make such beautiful quilts. I am working on her Tumalo Trail right now.

Great job! I've seen her original version and several made by Jo Kramer (Jo's Country Junction blog). It is neat how each one is different and I definitely see the scrappy idea.
