Karla, can we nominate you for teacher of the century - where do we go to do that???
I'd have a lot of competition from even many teachers in my building!! But I appreciate your thoughts. Thank you.
Did I tell you about the boy who told me yesterday he was itchy because his mom found lice the night before--but she had treated him? AND this was a 2:30 message?
He was sent directly to the nurse, and the whole class was checked--me first--  And everyone is fine. PHEW! He goes directly to the nurse before the classroom for many days. Sigh... job hazards.

Your bookmarks are wonderful!! Wow! I must admit I wish I lived nearby and could talk you out of a bookmark. I may have to make a few of these. Thank you for sharing Karla!

Great job, Karla!! And yes...I counted to make sure you had the right amount. :D
OMG! LICE! NOOOOOO!!!!!!!
Been there, done that with both my girls! NOT a fun thing, especially when hubby is at sea and you are alone in cleaning the entire house and spraying it down. Funny thing....when we were moving here, there was a small box with a black plastic bag in it. I opened the bag and it was full of small stuffed animals that had been bagged up back in 1998 due to an outbreak. lol

Terri...there's no strawberry shortcake in there by any chance is there?? LOL I'm having a devil of a time trying to find them for one of the kids.
Barnbum, LOVE LOVE LOVE this idea. Would be absolutely perfect for the kids at Sunday school----next year, because I'm so not getting to it this year. VERY Cute idea, thanks so much for sharing. Yet another bookmark!!!!

Now I have to tell my headlice story. Boy have I learned a lot.
It was when my oldest daughter was in 5th grade. Her head had been itching and I looked for headlice but I didn't know what I was looking for. I got her head & shoulders and couldn't get rid of her itch & dandruff.
One of the other PTA moms that I was talking to said the rash on the back of her neck was caused by headlice. I said no way because I looked. Ha!!! When she got home I whipped her head over and really looked this time. And guess what I found.
I was soo embarrassed. The letter going home from school was because of us. The girl who she sat next to was sent home and didn't come back for a week. I said to the teacher we know either where it came from or who we gave it to. He assured me that is where it came from.
What a lot of work. Washing everything fabric in the whole house. Vacuuming the beds & carpets every day and putting every stuffed animal in plastic bags.
Not a good time was had by all. My DH was not at sea but he still wasn't any help.
