Those are absolutely great. You've obviously had a lot of fun putting them all together.

I have a question for you.....
I am making bookmarks for my fellow teachers. I gave my DH one earlier and he says it's too thick. The bookmark is simply the quilted front and backing, no filler. How do you get your bookmarks thin enough for the books to lie flat around them?

Hmm--they don't seem too thick at all--well they are compared to a cardboard one, but the book would lay flat enough. I have muslin between mine. Maybe it's a personal preference? Fifth graders don't think too deeply on how flat their books lie.

    He is fussy.
Guess I'll try lots of starch a iron those suckers down!
I have some fusible webbing that was recommended in a pattern, and wondered if you might have that in the middle. Now I know.
    Thanks.

This is a terrific idea and love the fabrics. If someone is concerned with thickness why not try Heat 'N Bond between the layers. They trim, punch holes, add ribbon or string and instant gratification. Matter of fact I think I will make some over the weekend to tuck into our Christmas cards. I will admit that I like the ones you made better.
