I might just be me; when I look at the your (beautiful)quilt w/ the dark inner border my eyes then travel into the quilt itself. When I look at it w/ the inner blue border my eyes seem to stay longer at the border. I did this a couple of times by looking at one and then after a minute look at the other. Anyway only my thought (or eyes).

I like #1...the blue brings out the blue more this way and then the brown brings out the browns. They show off mutually.
