Default Border or no border finished

Here is the finished quilt that I requested advice for concerning attaching a border or not. I choose to border this quilt and I used an ugly piece of fabric that had been in my stash for years. It worked great. The fabric sure looks better on the quilt than on my shelf, lol. This sampler is a project that has been ongoing with my community quilt group. We have several beginning quilters and have been doing BOM for 2 years to teach quilting techniques. This is the second sampler that I have made with my blocks. (I am sorry for the grainy picture but my ipad takes poor quilt pictures.)

The border fabric looks great on that quilt! I also like the sashing that you used with those blocks.

Excellent choice of border fabric, and I love the checkered sashing.
