    Borrowed Daisies

I saw a quilt like this on a yahoo group, the maker had seen a friend's who had seen it someplace else and made one. It's a very popular pattern! The day after I started mine KathyAire posted hers on here and others have started their own.

I just saw this block yesterday and fell in love with it. Your quilt is so pretty the colors and everything. I think the way you turned the blocks sideways is different and so wonderful. I love white on white fabric and it is so difficult to use but this is a perfect block for it. Thanks so much for posting this!!!! :D I really just think this is such a YUMMY quilt! :-D

I didn't realize that the one I was looking at was turned sideways and I thought it was so cute one up one down, when I looked at it again I it one facing right one facing left and decided I liked the up/down better, glad you do to.
thank you all for your comments

I really like how you laid out your blocks the other gals was up right - I liked that too. But yours looks like they have been picked and are falling. Like a child has picked them and is dropping them on his way home.

I bookmarked the one posted yesterday and put this on my "to do" list. It's beautiful. Think I could get it done by spring?

I just googled Borrowed Daisies and didn't find it but what I did find is a pattern I've been searching for since before I joined this board called Magic Squares. It's from Creations of Kerrville, Texas so all is not lost. YEA!!!

we all made up our own pattern, I drew one petal and a stem, traced them onto steam a seam lite, fused to the fabrics, cut them out and fused to the blocks, I did a very narrow zigzag with a white 60wt thread for extra security. After I drew my petal I decided what size stem it needed and drew that, I traced them onto a paper to make the whole flower to decide what size block it needed, mine finished at 8". I cut each piece 4.5" It's a lot of fun and goes pretty quick, uses scraps and I think will make nice gifts. mine is 38X44 (more or less)
