Lucky friend--she's going to love it! That flap is really neat. I have made loop closures but I like the flap much better. I had my Bow Tucks on a trip once and when the plane took off it (the purse, not the plane) turned on it's side on the floor and half the stuff fell out and slid back into the feet of people behind us.

In the photograph the fabric looks like a very rich, lush velvet, at least to my eyes. Your friend will love it.

I love the changes you made. I am convinced I want the flaps too. I too am tired of things falling out when teh purse gets 'dumped' and everything falls out. Otherwise I love the bag.

Your fabric is great, so rich looking.

I love this, thx for sharing. I had never seen these bow tuck bags before today. Is your pattern on here? I would love to make my three sisters one. They are always buying purses. Have a great day! Lura

Beautiful colors! I'm sure your friend will love it. I have had my pattern several months. Looks like I need to get busy :) Thanks for the picture.
