Boy after all the talk of the great shopping trips to JoAnn's, I talked DH into driving me there and leaving me for about 1 1/2 hours-(plus another hour after he returned to get cut! Guess I need to get off this board now and GET SEWING! Many Xmas projects to dig into!
Said I was a bad girl, but that depends what side of the check book your standing! Spent over $200.00 (Merry Xmas to me!), but managed to get over $130.00 off!!!

It's fun to splurge like that sometimes. I can't wait to get to joanns again. The closest one for me is about 3 hours away.....but I'm going this weekend.

Oldest DD and I went last Saturday and I just bought $110.00 for black, brown, and green fabrics and an ironing mat. we had coupons for 20% off sale and regular priced items. I saved 38.71. DD mainly buys smaller pieces, she bought more variety and makes lots of scrappy quilts. She only spent under 50.00, I usually spend more. Oh well, it was fun.

Great haul!! I believe that one can never have too much Christmas/holidayish fabric - it's one of my worst fabric addictions!

All the talk about JoAnn's sent me up there too. They didn't have much cotton in clearance, but they never do at my store. I also spent about $200 after saving only $50. Had a wonderful time.

I agree!! Look at all those people working hard at the cutting counter, you are keeping them in a job. And with all that "insulation" your heating bill should be lower. And with the driving to the store, you are keeping the gas stations in business. Well, I am going to do my part today when I go into Joann's to pick up my sewing machine. I feel it is my civic duty.
