I posted some photos of a Sunbonnet Sue Quilt under the title 'Sunbonnet Sue Bound' last week.
If you saw it you might be interested in this one I have just finished and photographed.

I went to your blog and checked out all of your blocks and quilt. That is simply adorable!! Did you design the blocks yourself? That is very original, just love it!!

No they are not mine, just the interpretation. They are from a book called 'Sunbonnet Sue and Scottie Too'

Oh my gosh, they are all so pretty. Went to your blog and looked. My sister has done one with that small of applique but she did it by hand. Seems like it would take you forever changing thread in the machine!

Not really. If you, say do all the dogs, then all the hats, then the hat bands etc. It certainly takes a lot less time than by hand. I don't have the patience or the skill to do hand embroidery. I enjoy doing the satin stitch and watching the little people emerge.
