    A fabulous quilt - beautiful work! Did you stitch in the ditch on the curves? I'd love to see a full photo of the back - the stitching is probably really pretty capturing the flow of the lines.

    the quilt is already in the mail to them so i can't take any more pics.


    i didn't quilt the circle at all. i appliqued the pieces to muslin and then i appliqued the entire piece to the background fabric.

    then i snipped the back of the background fabric and stuffed the circle with batting. then i hand stitched up the snip in the back of the background fabric.

    then i made the quilt sandwich and i did heavy quilting all over the background fabric and stitched in the ditch just along the edge of the circle.

    this made the circle 3 dimensional and it just jumps off the quilt.

    since its a wall hanging i'm able to have larger than normal area's without quilting because its never going to be washed.
