Ever since I made a blue one for Jim last year, I have been longing to make another Log Cabin in tans, and browns.

This is the first block finished. It will be 5 x 4 blocks. I am thinking of calling it "Earthly".

I like the browns with the red center. Looks warm and cozy.

can you believe that my daughter and i made a log caabin quilt as our first project now 10 years later we take out the ole "learning quilt" and have us a good laugh.. we both kept them just to see our progress every year. I have to say your log cabin is such much prettier than our first quilts. beautiful colors and beatiful block. keep going you will love the completed quilt.

This is my second one and did a red middle on both. I heard that it is supposed to represent the fireplace, or the heart of the house.
