All the strips were sewn together in a long row, then I used my Omnigrid 9" square to cut squares and then HSTs. I decided that the HSTs were too big so I made QSTs from them. Unfortunately that meant the stripes were going in two directions. BUT it all worked out. I'm happy and I am minus a big old bunch of strips!

Thanks, Maureen. The next one is going to use batik strips. They're all sewn together, so all I need to do it start cutting. The batiks are a little more "stretchy" if you know what I mean, so it will be a challenge. I am not sure if I will use black again or maybe another batik.
