Here is the Buckeye Beauty Quilt (scrappy) that I recently finished (from selecting fabrics - scraps mostly, piecing to quilting on my new machine) I love it. The quilting is nothing fancy, but I finished it without too much ripping out (this time). YEAH!!

Very nice piecing and quilting. I like the browns. Your cat seems quite cozy!

I knew we had something in common!!! I have made the split nine patch tops for the granddaughters --- doll quilts. I've had the squares all made for the buckeye beauty done for about six weeks, now. I had another design for putting them together, but just wasn't sure what I wanted to do or how I would end up. I am definitely going to try your layout this weekend. Thanksa million for posting your pictures...

Pievefully yours,
Kay Susan

Kay,
I had another layout in mind, but liked this one for the scrappy look. I think I will try another one in blues and yellows, maybe a king size. The one pictured is a queen, but I have it laying on a double bed, so the boarders don't show - small black 2" border then a 5 1/2 inch print border of warm brown with autum leaves and twigs..don't have it bound yet.

thanks for the kind words, it was alot of fun to make.
Vicky
