    Default Buffalo Check, King

It’s been awhile since I’ve shared some stuff with you so bare with me....lol..

After a year of contemplating patterns for a new bed quilt for our bed, I decided simple was best.... This has double layered batting...One layer wool...the other cotton. Because it was a simple pattern, I wanted the quilting to stand out and I wanted warmth. I love this simple quilt. It’s huge...plus, it used a some bolts of gray and white I had on hand. I did buy backing for it but top was from stash... I made matching pillows, too. Light was bad for picture but it is the same fabric in quilt.

Nice quilt. Sometimes simple is the best.

The double batting really makes the quilting stand out. I love the way the quilting pattern fits into the large check piecing pattern- like one of those super thick jigsaw puzzles in a wooden frame. Well done!
