My thoughts...number one...it IS a very nice butterfly pattern and your colors are just perfect. If you are going to use it for a wall hanging it wouldn't need to be much bigger. I would put a 3 inch border next of the lighter turqoise-green print (the same as in the butterfly), a medium larger print next and then a solid. I like to do light, med, dark. The dark could also be the binding. It would add approx 6 to 9 inches all around.
My daughter told me I was making my new baby quilts too big, 45 X 60 crib size...and she couldn't show off the design well enough...so a smaller cover is nice at first. See then you can work on another one for each time the little bundle of joy grows a bit! Can't wait to see how it turns out!

Just lovely: Great choice of colours. I saw the block pattern the other evening as I was browsing the net. You may have just inspired me to do one for myself. Keep up the good work

That is so cute. I love the butterflies and would leave it just the size it is. Such pretty colors. You did a great job. Thanks for sharing.

Your butterflies are beautiful. I made that pattern awhile back and everyone wanted it, mainly because it's different that most butterfly blocks. may in jersey

I wish I could make a tute, but that would be illegal to post since it is in a book. This is the book it is in.

That's what I thought too, but I made it from scraps and don't have anymore :( I'll have to see if I can find something to go with it.

    Thanks everyone! :-D

That is so cute & I bet it went fast. Is it just pieced, or paper pieced. I have to give PPing another try, but have to get up my nerve & find a good, simple pattern. Thanks for showing this & butterflies signify friendship, if I remember correctly, at least to me they do.
