I don't think the quilting will show up because of the veining in the fabric, there are several large butterflies and the rest in or at least near the ditch! lol I dyed the backing in a gradation from pink to purple and am very pleased with the results, however...... that gal who did the measuring  cut the strips exactly the size of the quilt, no seam allowances or room for error  hence the border on the back.
The bag is a pattern I wanted to try and a baby shower came up at just the right time!
The quilt is for my first granddaughter who will be 13 next month.

did you use a pattern for the diaper bag. my son and DIL are going to have a baby in Nov and my son wants a manly diaper bag, thought it would be easier to make than buy. I love all your work.

Manly???? My son-in-law said that he would NOT carry a cutsy diaper bag so my daughter used a book bag. No problem from THAT.

Just a thought - but no sewing there, sorry.

thank you all so much for your kind comments, I think one done in dark blues or browns and tans would look "manly" for those guys, don't they realize that people know the bag is for the baby, not the dad?! LOL
