I really like having the other squares to accent the butterflies. Like that much better than just appliqued butterflies on solid fabrics. Has so much more warmth.
Great Job! Start quilting lady and finish that pretty thing. Bet you will love it before you complete it. Have you thought about some type of fill in pattern to accent the wings? Just a thought.

Yes, I have thought about the wings. I have purchased a varigated thread that has all the colors of the butterflies. I thought I would out line the outside of the wings and then use a different color to make the pattern of a real butterfly. Thank you for all your help. If you have any suggestions about the wings, please let me know.

It is beautiful. I think I will make a lap throw for my step daughter as she is into butterflies.

I LOVE butterflies. If you don't send it to on of the others, you can send it my way. :lol: Keep up the good work. I made one with a fan design. When I get the courage to post pics you can see what I did.
