By all means, please do quilt this work of art. Sometimes when I work closely on quilts, I'm not satisfied and don't want to finishe but persevere on anyway and am always glad that I did. Yes, not only must you quilt it, you must label it. If you don't ever treasure it, one day, one of your loved ones will because you made it.

Thank you so much for the encouragment. I am going to use a varigated thread and when I am finished I will post pictures. I am making this for my best friend of many years. I decided on the butterfly theme because butterflies stand for all the change we have gone through.

Butterflies are one of my favorite motifs. I have one in progress. My butterfly pattern is similar to yours, tho mine are colored fabrics on a white background--more traditional looking. I think your colors are great.!

Its a wonderful Qt. It would be ashame to not Quilt it. That is something to be proud of. If you don't want it after Qting it, just post it. You will be surprised at the many offers for it.

I think your solid color butterflies tone down the mixture of the other pcs. Love it.
