A few months ago I asked for suggestions to make this quilt larger. I was making the butterfly blocks (hand appliqued wings) and setting them side by side. A few of you wonderful people suggested a blank block in between which made my life so much easier. Well here is the finished product. I quilted it on my Sapphire 850 and it aint perfect but I am pleased.
This is for my DGD who is turning 9 tomorrow. I have a design wall and was putting the butterfly blocks up as I finished them. She would come over about twice a week and watch the progression and always smile and tell me she really likes butterflys grandma. She will be so surprised. Cant wait to give it to her.

That quilt is lovely. She will treasure it all her life. Be sure to get a picture of her face when she unwraps it. That's a picture YOU will always treasure!! Then share it with us.

Beautiful butterflies!!! WHat a lucky GD!!!

Now, can I ask you about the quilt in your avatar pic? I was on a quilting retreat about a month ago, and one of the women there was making one of those. What is the name of the pattern?
