Default butterfly quilts in two color ways

I haven't posted pictures of my quilts in a while, so I thought I would try to get caught up a little. I bought butterfly panels (by Jason Yenter) in two color ways. I finished the quilt with the black background in June of 2022 and the one with the white background in November.

Both are beautiful, but the light one is such a happy quilt. I can imagine the butterflies flitting around.

Those are absolutely beautiful. Love the black background that causes the colors to pop. Love the white background that reminds me of summertime. Both are treasures!

Well Dunster, more great quilts! I'm seeing more than one quilting pattern on the lighter one and have to ask, if you mark the quilting patterns and then quilt. Do you have a quilting machine that runs patterns by itself once programed or do this on a DSM? Or do you send your quilts out to be done? My curious mind wants to know.

I do all my own quilting on my Innova longarm. I mark the points for cross hatching (while the quilt is on the frame), but all the rest is done freehand or with rulers. I don't have a robotic quilting system, but if I quilted as a business I would definitely want one.

Some little girl would be thrilled with these. So bright and beautiful. The quilting is fabulous too.
