Ok...I saw this thread for the first time today...not sure how I missed it. Name sure caught my eye.

I agree with you, that fabric is ugly. If you were someone I didn't know, I'd say know thank you....but if you were my quilting buddy, I would warn you that I would run away screaming to get away from it.

Then I saw the coordinating fabrics and thought...still ugly, but better. I liked the coordinating prints more. Wasn't sure what you were going to do, until I saw the photo.

THAT BEING SAID....your quilt top is stunning. The circles and their placements are great. The color combos are great, the effort that you have so obviously put into it...That is really a comfort quilt and you have done an amazing job.

Your quilt is beautiful. I would have never believed something that beautiful could come from those individual fabrics. Job well done.

Thank you! I can only imagine it will look even better once it has been quilted. I have never once been disappointed after I've gotten a quilt back, only more pleased with the quilt itself.

Was intrigued by the thread and had to have a look-see! Love how the quilt turned out! Now I won't be afraid to try some things with some of my old treasures!
I have seen some "ugly" fabrics made into beautiful quilts! Love to cut up fabrics!

Stunning! It's alittle like the saying that if you have a lemon, make lemonade and you certainly did just that.
Can't wait to see it quilted.

What a creative way to turn your ugly fabric into a beautiful work of art.
You are very talented and blessed.

What a great blend of fabrics! Your colors are terrific together! Yes, there is such a thing as an ugly quilt, but yours isn't one of them! Good job!
