i had that problem, but the cause was a warped bobbin case keeping the bobbin from turning smoothly.

My darn enquiring mind just has to know, what is a blue dot bobbin case? Just in case. My Kenmore is Janome-made.

A blue dot bobbin case has the tension pre-set at the factory for free motion quilting. I paid 26.50 at my dealer.

I think the brown sashing is a better choice than the red because red would make it look too much like a christmas quilt. You did a very nice job with this.
