My sister gave me a quilting book with this pattern in it back when I had back surgery in August and I've been slowly working on this quilt top since then. I decided to go real scrappy with it - all the fabric is from my scrap stash.

I have four rows totally complete and assembled (but only three are pictured). All the trees are done and most of the cabins are done. I can't wait to have it complete! Below are rows 1, 3 and 8. I do things randomly so I picked random rows. lol

It's going to be fantastic when it's done. This pattern is definitely on my "to do list", it's very appealing. Hope working on this has helped with your recovery.

I love this pattern. You've given me some good ideas for an idea that's been rolling around my head for years. You did a good job with the trees!

Thanks everyone. I'm fully recovered, back at work and graduated from physical therapy. It's wonderful to be able to pick up my children again. :)

I loved finding the fabrics for the trees. Although the pointed trees intimidated me, I love them the most.

I also had to be sure and put a little pink house in there ala John Cougar Mellencamp.

This is a pretty fast quilt (if you don't go by my haphazard timeline!) once you have the cutting done. I think I spent the most time simply picking out the fabrics. Not sure how I want it quilted. The book shows it done with horizontal lines, then diamonds created at an angle. I like the way it looks but not sure if that's what I want or not.

Hopefully I'll have a completed top to post tomorrow!

wolfkitty - would love to hear about your idea!!
