What a beautiful quilting job. I am amazed that you did it on your machine. I so have a problem doing quilting on my old machines.

What a beautiful gift. I can't image how proud they will be to display it on their bed when they get home. The one they take with will keep them connected to home and comfort them a lot. Great job. A real labor of love on your part. Amazing what can be done on a reg. sewing machine. again Wonderfully done!

Beautiful, and they will be able to travel and take the lap quilt to remind them how loved they are. Perfect. Best wishes to the new couple!

Oh, Anna, they are both gorgeous! And what a thoughtful gesture, to make a mini for them to take along.

How thoughtful to make a smaller version to take along. I would not be surprised if it never comes home to he US but is left as a gift for a special individual in Uganda. Have you asked that they bring back or send back some fabric from Uganda? Every time one of my friends of family travel out of the US, I ask for a yard of fabric from that country. Something that is native to that country. Someday I will make an international quilt to document all of the travels of my friend and family. It has been fun and will be a unique quilt.
