Default Can a large Throw be a wedding gift?

Seems all the wedding quilts I see posted are bed sized. Just wondering if. Throw size can be appropriate for a wedding gift? My machine is a bit small to quilt anything too large and I would want to make the whole gift rather than have someone else quilt it. Thanks

Of course! a gift is a gift and if you feel like doing a throw size quilt it is going to be a very thoughtful gift and very appreciated. I made a quilted tote bag for my niece wedding and she was very happy.

One of my daughter's friends was getting married and she had always told how she wanted a Christmas quilt like the ones I made for my daughters. It was a simple patchwork quilt with a christmas flannel on the back, nothing special, but it was something she viewed as special. Her husband is one of those people where everything on a bed has to match so I did the throw size. It was a little bigger because I wanted it large enough for two people to cuddle under. They have since had 2 little boys and it is part of their Christmas decorations still.

Of course, a wedding gift does not have to be a bed size quilt.

Of course! I did a 40ish by 55ish quilt for a wedding. I used batiks with white, and incorporated satin from the bridesmaids' dresses (I shortened a couple of them and had leftover fabric!).

Why not and if your concerned, make two. One the the bride and one for the groom.
