Default Can you help me identify this quilt pattern?

A friend of mine needs help identifying this quilt his great-great-grandmother made in 1887. The year is stitched into the quilt itself. I joined this site to hopefully help him in his endeavors. If anyone can ID it or has any information that can lead me to its identity, please get in touch with me. I would appreciate it, and I am sure he would as well. Thank you in advance. ~Miern

My first guess is Princess Feather. You may want to contact Barbara Brackman, who has written extensively on the subject of antique quilt patterns.

I just looked it up. They are correct! Lots of pictures on it, and variations shown. Just put the name in Google and you will see so many examples of this pattern.

Welcome to the QB from SE Michigan! The pattern is definitely a princess feather variation. Your quilt is so beautiful! You should be so proud of it.
