Here’s another picture of one of the crumb blocks I made for DH’s crumb quilt. This is the 1st quilt I’m making for DH and long overdue for him. I love scrap quilts because of their beauty and while making them I get to see lots of different fabric :-P How hard is it to make a crumb quilt, right? I find it difficult to just grab any piece of fabric without looking and sew but get brave sometimes and ‘throw caution to the wind’ :-P Guess I like to control my scrap quilts a bit but it makes for a slower process. Anyway, I started feeling that the blocks are all the same which of course isn’t true for a crumb quilt. So to add some diversity and do something different I made a ‘LOVE block’ for DH’s quilt :-P No pattern just did it as I went. The ‘L’ in Love doesn’t have enough contrast and doesn’t stand out but I know it’s there. I’m going to make another one that says JOY and have also started a house block. Just doing it as I go and making it work. Hope you like the 'Love' block.

That is so pretty, and adding your special words will really mean a lot to your husband.

I think you just created an adult version of "I Spy" - what fun hubby will have finding all your words!

    I LOVE it.
I saw in an old Newletter Quilt magazine where they had the alphabet pattern, still have that page. It is handy when you are making a kid's door hanger with their name on it.
That is what I did, and I used it a couple other times.
    Have fun with that quilt!
