Here is a star I paper pieced from Candlequilter's pattern. It was more difficult than I had thought, so I hope it will be OK in the quilt that she is making. It needed ALOT of pressing :?

I haven't made mine yet. What made it so difficult?

You can pm candlequilter about the pattern.

This seems to be a common problem with block, but you block (as well as all the others I've seen posted) is stunning. Great job!

I just didnt get how the small piece gets sewn to the larger piece. I did contact her and she has tried to explain, but give me a picture and Im all over it. Sounds silly I know, but Im a visual learner (is that a word? LOL)

I found joining the 2 pieces that make up one quarter difficult as it's not a straight seam. Also I wish I had used thicker paper as it had started to fall apart before I had finished putting the block together.
I have only been quilting for 2 years and have not done much paper piecing before, but I will give this another go one day.

    :D

Suebee, search for the topic "For Candlequilter". A little ways down she shows some pictures about putting the non-straight edge pieces together.

This is a beautiful star. I love the color choices.
