I just finished this Christmas gift for my adult son. I didn't know I was making it until a few days before Christmas, so I've been working on it as much as possible trying to get it finished. The pattern is called Boxed Squares and can be found here. I made extra blocks to make a larger version.

I used most of two bali pops in the Capuccino colorway. Bali pops are like jelly rolls, each has 40 strips of batik fabric, 2.5" wide. It's machine quilted with a variegated Sulky thread called Milk Chocolate, and has a cozy flannel back. I want to keep it!

Wow! Of course you want to keep it....I would too! This is really stunning. Good job and you really worked this out in a hurry, geez. Another beautiful quilt that proves a pattern need not be complicated...let the fabric do the work. Thanks for posting!

That is one of the best examples of that pattern I've ever seen! I just love the colors and prints you used, and the workmanship looks perfect!

That is so pretty and I just printed it off. Just what I need is another quilt pattern. I'll have to live to be 150 to get finished now!

I've seen it made with a Butterscotch Bali Pop and it was very pretty. I think it would be lovely in blues and greens, or blues and purples, or any batiks for that matter. I'm a batikaholic, I just love them!
