Card trick.... I think....

My sis made this and I got to quilt it. I love her choice of colors and wouldn't mind if I got to keep it for my own bed.
She suggested not quilting a stitch in the ditch but rather down the middle of the fabric on the burgandies and blues. It really made it POP,

The quilt and the quilting are wonderful, both of you did great jobs.

Funny how the same pattern is posted by 2 different people almost at the same time! I just saw the Star Spin, and as soon as I saw that, I remembered the name of the block.
