ccthomas, Four hours? Maybe if you had your fabrics selected, but making HSTs isn't something I can rush. Plus, I have a problem staying on task for that long. The large cuts do make it go quite fast.

Hi just had to go back and look again. I love the quilt pattern and you did such a nice job picking the colors and putting it all together. The quilting is nice too. I went serfing to find a pattern with the picture to put it together. So hopefully I can make one soon. I am not very good unless I have a diagram to go by.
BTW see you in the vintage shop.

I am not fast - can't find my tools and always being interrupted. Repeating the process should help with the speed.

Beautiful! Loved the many colours and the braiding! Inspiring to me as I have wanted to try the Carpenters pattern of a while. Thank you for posting.

I just pulled out my cheat sheets. Print this in grayscale and you can use it as a guide. http://www.maryquilts.com/wp-content...-Star-rev1.pdf

Also this one made it easy to visualize. http://www.avlyn.com/media/projects/...sion_quilt.pdf

I love your color choices and I've always really liked this pattern. But I think the outside border you chose really completes it to look so wonderful. I hope she appreciates it.
