    Thanks for all the wonderful comments

    Trish, the pattern for the star is in the tutorial section. As for the border, the larger HSTs are 1/2 the block. Then make the little HSTs into 4 patch blocks with the HSTs 1/2 the size of the larger HSTs. Hope that makes sense for you

    Trish you can use whatever size you like. I used a 6 in finished block for the center. For the borders the larger HSTs are half the block size. The little HSTs are half of that. Good luck on your quilt and I look forward to seeing it done
