    Carpenters Wheel - not quite

This isn't quite the normal Carpenters Wheel - I sketched it quickly from a quilt I saw at the nursing home. Once I had it done and started checking out the carpenters wheel quilts I see it's similar, but not quite the same. I did the quilting on my Viking Designer SE, using a pattern from a pattern pack called Twice Quilted by Glorianne Cubbage -

No, not quiet the carpenter's wheel , but it's very pretty and looks like it would be a lot easier to piece. Nice job quilting too.

I used one of those markers that dissappears with water - I've done this design a couple times using the markers, and once with no markings - just freemotion, and it turned out just fine - every quilt is a learning experience!

I have been looking at the carpenter patterns there is one called carpenter's wheel and one is called carpenter's star they are just a little different if you google search you can see the difference the star is also made 2 different ways one has the solid block center the other the star point is the same color hard to describe but you will see if you do a search

It is a lovely adaptation. You quilting really is beautiful and makes it pop. Great job. Thank you for sharing.
Desiderata (Max Ehrmann) - Walk placidly amid the noise and haste and remember what peace there may be in silence. As far as possible without surrender be on good terms with all persons. Speak your truth quietly and clearly; and listen to others, even the dull and the ignorant; they too have their story. Avoid loud and aggressive persons, they are vexations to the spirit.

So, it's like "they" say: There are carpenters and there are carpenters...........so, your very attractive interpretation just "hits the nail on the head!"

I think that's a Mosiac Tile pattern. Check out quilters cache and see if it isn't.
