I love this!! (go figure!).

I really like the sashing with the cornerstones as well. Everything about this quilt from design to colors chosen is just fun fun fun.

I wonder what it would be like if you changed the shape of the ears some, maybe make them larger or make them hang down like a dachshund, and also shorten the tail and give it just a small curve. Would they look like dogs then? Just an idea. I know there are lots of cute dog patterns out there if you do an internet search.

You might also check out Patrick Lose's website. I think you can contact him there. He might consider designing one for dogs if enough people request it. I had some correspondence with him about this pattern, and he seems like a nice man.

Thanks! I'm pretty new to FMQ. I have a new Bernina Aurora 440QE, which has a stitch regulator. I haven't had much luck with it up until today when I kind of got a hang of it--barely. The pattern suggests stitching in all the ditches and then just some wavy lines on the cat blocks, skipping over the applique itself. So that's what I've been doing. I'm using monofilament thread on the top and blue thread to match the back of the quilt. It's turning out better than things I've done in the past. For now, I'm keeping it pretty simple.

I do like the sashing with the strip of lime green down the center. I might try that with other quilts I'm working on just for some more pizzazz.

Thank you all for your compliments.
