After we lost our cat at 17 years, a friend in Australia sent me a redwork block. I started this quilt and put it aside in 2005. I finally got it out and finished it.
the funny thing is, i now have three cats!! count the cats in the redwork block!

corner "cat" and qlted circles in blk inner border

What a beautiful quilt, and I love the way it's displayed.

How sweet! We had Loki too! He was a Jack/Shitz mix, & so precious. A dog, of course, but love the name. Did you know what name means? My DH picked it out, it's for the Norse God of Mischief, & the name sure fit! We lost him, due to health issues, quite unexpectedly last May, while on vacation, & on the way to CA from here. He was just six & a half, so it was quite a shock. Like you, we now have 3, dogs, that is. Already had an old beagle, & when we got home DH founds us two new pups online to adopt. Good luck with all your cats you have now, our new pups are doing great, & they all 3 have their own quilts too, lol...

My son named Loki for me. fitting name. he was sweet though. not a lap cat until he got older.
i kept putting things aside that were for us, to do things for others. That's what quilters do, isn't it? I'm trying hard now to finish all the quilt tops i have and use mostly fabrics i have on hand.
