    Cathedral Window Quilt

This quilt has been in the making for almost 20 years and is finally finished. My mother-in-law, who had made at least three of these quilts (queen size, no less) taught me how to do them in the early 1990's. Well, I got bored and lost interest - they are very labor intensive. I worked on it on and off through the years and decided that this year I was going to keep at it until it was finished. It really came out nice (the fabrics are much prettier than they look in the photos) and I am glad I made it but I won't make another. Hope you enjoy seeing it.

Beautiful. Would you consider selling the pattern?

Well worth the wait. This is beautiful, and it looks hugh, so I can see why it would take a long time.

Fantabulous! It is the prettiest one I have ever seen. It seems different than most I have looked at, like more fancy in the corners and not flat like most. You did a monumental job. Thank you for finishing and sharing with us.

This is one of my favorite patterns....but for me....the labor intensive thing makes it not an option for me. I too get bored very quickly and I know I would not finish it. But it is very beautiful. I love your color selections.

Ann Marie, your quilt is stunning to say the least. I know the pattern is labor intensive, but you must be very happy with the gorgeous results. What a heirloom for your family.

It is beautiful. Does not look like a 20 year old pattern. Looks very modern. Thanks for sharing.

someone has figured out how you can do it all my machine now, it's a good "laid back" project if you like hand work. I'm working on one now with civil war reproduction fabrics (my new passion), it will be a throw for the back of my couch. I hope you have someone to leave yours to (unless you figure out how to take it with you!) who will truly appreciate all that went into it. BEAUTIFUL
