This is awesome:: I tried and tried to do that Catheral Windows and I found it "complicated". I ended up with Christmas ornaments - Can't even imagine doing a whole quilt and especially w/no pattern::: OHHHHH Good for U.

Have you checked out the tutorial by Eddie on cathedral windows? It simplified the process for me.
