Thank you so much for the tut about the french braid portion of the quilt. Would it be too much to ask to get the pattern for the kitties? I've been looking for something to make up for the silent auction that the rescue I volunteer with has and this would be perfect. I'm assuming that the cats were appliqued onto the piece of fabric connected to the "fence" portion. Thank you for any help you can give me.

Glad I decided to ck out the Quilt of the Week! Love it, Patrice, Congratulations! And thanks for the pdf on the braids too! I read through from the beginning but can't remember if you gave the size or not? I wish the pic would enlarge....I can right click on it and then on View Image and get a bit of enlargement but with it were more. The fence design is really neat! and love the dark fabrics--the small squares are floral, aren't they? Is the sashing and border fabric floral or small dots? It sure is a winner!!

a simpler cat block can be found here:
http://quilting.about.com/od/blockof.../cat_quilt.htm
if you want to challenge yourself to curved piecing, you are welcome to use my pattern.
remember to set page scaling, in adobe reader, to "none" before you print it.
it should finish to 12".
