Thread: celebration quilt

    i found the pattern for this celebration quilt on the carol dork site i did it in satins it is not quilted yet i was thinking of giving it to my grand son he is developmentaly disabled and likes bright coilors i thought this would brighten his room

    it is made out of satin materials

    Absolutely beautiful and you did such a detailed design out of an incredibly hard to work with fabric. I think he will enjoy it very much.

    That's so bright and pretty! I would think the satin fabrics were hard to work with??? He's going to really enjoy it!

    That is gorgeous! He will not only love the bright colors but the texture will help him with sensory issues too! I am sure!!!

    Truely lovely. Your granson will love to snuggle this. Satin fabric is a good choice as it stimulates lots of senses. He will love it

    This is a lovely quilt. He will surely enjoy the brilliant jewel tones and the sense of touch! Did you have to back the satin to stabilize it?

    with this being a paper piecing patten i did not have to stablelise the material when i made the grand kids babtizmal gowns i did stablize that material with a starch spray and than did french seems which made that gowns washable
