They're all nice, but the blue does pull the plate into the background. If you want the whole plate to be on show... either of the yellow centers does that. Your choice in what effect you're wanting, all 3 lovely.

What an incredibly thoughtful and will be much remembered quilt.. I would go with the blue so the apron yellow pieces pop.. your an angel to gift everyone with a bit of memory.. My mother always wore an apron, I now do too and my kids think Mom in a cherry apron.. I will have to keep finding cherry fabric but its what they associate with me.. you are giving a memory. I salute you.

I prefer the floral (apron) fabric. To me the blue makes it look like ya just forget to cover the hole in the dresden plate.

I like the blue center. Red would also really pop.

I too would like to see orange/red. Love the idea, though, of a memory gift!

The flowers, definitely. Like several others I thought the second picture was unfinished, waiting for a center. Don't care for the yellow at all, the blue gets lost, the apron fabric finishes it beautifully. Peaceful (no not pieceful LOL) and coordinated.

I like the yellow one best, but I can see the petals right through it, so it would have to be muslin-backed if it was my project. I dislike the blue. I'd sure like to see what a red that matches the little flowers looks like as the center.

Oops! Need to clarify. I DON'T dislike the blue fabric, but don't like it as the center.
