Your quilt is beautiful. Next time your dh tells you, you can just make another heirloom quilt, ignore him! Hope you get around to making yourself one to keep.

Did you use a regular card trick block pattern, or is this a different pattern, especially for using borders & such? Lovely quilt! Great job!

Thank you! Essentially it is the same pattern except each piece of striped fabric (16 per block) had to be cut individually. All pieces are either 1/2 or 1/4 square triangles.

You are so kind. I did make another one to keep. And I think it's even nicer. If you ever want to look around on the board, the second one is called "Venetian Solitare." The new one is on my bed and I look at it every day. The one in my avatar photo lives somewhere else now and so that's why I keep it as my avatar - so I can have something to remember it by! It was a ton of work on a dining room table and gave me a tremendous sense of accomplishment.

this is a beautiful quilt. i love working with stripes and what they do but never thought about using stripe borders, very inspiring. thanks for sharing
