My kids have 3 turtles...2 of them are HUGE. LOL The shells are about 8 inches long.
Anyway Preston ( my youngest son) houses these turtles in a tank in his room ( which he shares with Carl). Preston has been asking me to make him a turtle wall hanging to have above the turtle tank...and I haven't had time. Plus I work from home so nothing can ever be a surprise as the kids are always with me.

Anyway, he was gone for the weekend and it was Mother's day so I took a few hours off and made this wallhanging really quick like...His favorite colors are green and blue....

They have red ear sliders..so that is why this turtle has a red wing by his eye.

I quilted it with a water and pebble design because that is what these turtles live in..

Thanks for looking!

I used HObbs polydown batting and quilted it on my INNOVA...freehand.
Thanks.

The shell is beautiful! It looks just like a turtle's shell!

I'll bet he loved it1 It's really cute. Sometimes we do our best work when we just sit down and do it!
