    Charity Quilts

To keep my hand and machine in top form, I accept a few quilts each month from our guild. Sadly these quilts go to children who are placed in child services because of abuse. So I try to make them a little different or at least fun. The first is an uncut pillow panel and the second is a bright simple scrappy.

My guild meets monthly to do charity quilts for different causes. We have fun and actually get things done. It's something to look forward to every month and they go to various causes in the community.

I just finished 5 charity quilts this month for our guild. We give to children, homeless shelters, cancer, vets, etc. It is such a worthwhile project and I really feel good after finishing a quilt for any of the above. Good for you!

I love how you quilted the scrappy. It suits it. The lighthouse and sailboats remind me of Warren Kimble paintings. I love the little anchers you put in the sashing.

Very nice . We donated 75 fleece blankets to the Social Services and a Childrens Home a few years ago and they were so glad to get them. I see that Quilts for Kids is in need for quilts. They actually have an empty closet and have hospitals on a waitiing list. I have a couple I am working on I want to get to them. So nice of you to do this..
