Checkered Dresden Plate.

I have just finished making these four table centre quilts. My UK quilt group had a recent challenge - "Something to decorate your table / coffee table"
I saw a tutorial by Jenny Doan ( amazing lady ) from Missouri Star Quilt Company in which she made a quilt with 9 of the Dresden Plates - so I have just used one block.
It is a really nice project to do and having made one for the challenge, I carried on and made three more.
I quilted the blades "In the ditch " and then want to hand sew in the middle circle some seed stitches to add an embellishment. You can see I have finished the one in shades of brown and green - halfway finished the purple one and have not done the Christmas ones yet !

Beautiful blocks and colors. I made 3 or 4 regular dresden plate quilts. I like the idea of the checkered dresdens, I could use smaller scraps for them.
