They are adorable with the textured fabric! I make mine with regular quilting fabric, cut a large circle and do a running stitch along the top edge and pull it in like a gathering move? then I stuff it full as I can (they eat up TONS of fiber fill) and then tighten the top as best I can and knot it off. Then I run yarn in an over the top cross it, other direction etc til I have done eight segments of pumpkin sides. I use a stick from the yard broken off to be the stem, hot glue, some silk leaves from an inexpensive bunch from the craft store and tada! pumpkin. I am sure there is a real pattern but I havent found one yet. These look like there was serious sewing time into them which for that deserves oodles of koodos. Today I made three, on the couch watching tv. They look great in a basket by the door. I would love to see everyones pumpkin creations so POST!!!

I LOVE YOUR PUMPKINS!!!!!!!

I love pumpkins so much that I painted my livingroom and dining room pumpkin - DH's first remark was "now I know what it feels like to live in a pumpkin!" I also collect pumpkins. O.K., so maybe it doesn't look that great at
Christmas, with the red and green, but it looks wonderful the rest of the year!!!!

Do you make them the same way that Elisabrat described? Please let us know. I'm going to get some orange Rit dye tomorrow in anticipation!!!!!!! Thank you so much for a wonderful idea!
