Thank you for donating this quilt for this cause. I'm 54 & have been a type 1 diabetic since 1972, at which time they pronounced me dead. I had been in a diabetic coma for 15 days because they didn't know I was diabetic.So many advancements have been made during my lifetime, in part thanks to individuals such as yourself helping the organizations out there. Love it, and it is a great cause. My daughter has type 1 and I have type 2... Wish I could bid on it....beautiful!

I am sorry I waited so long to respond everyone. I was working on a bow tuck tote for the auction. Diabetes is at epidemic levels in the US now and many kids are being diagnosed with it at an alarming rate. There are so many people walking around with it that don't even know they have it. Bless thier hearts... This is one serious killer.

Thanks for the support and cheering me on. I will keep sewing until the event in a couple weeks.
